WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR IN INGREDIENTS?
First, we like to look local. Made in the USA is very important to us and that is always what we look for first.
However, there are supplies that are available in the USA but we do not agree with the way they are made or grown.
Olive oil is a great example. We choose to source our olive oil out of the country because of the amount of pesticides that are used domestically. We are able to get non-GMO olive oil at a good price so we choose the quality of the olive oil over the localization.
Organic supplies are also forefront, this comes with a much higher price point so we also look for non-GMO, vegan, kosher and NSF.
We've classified ingredients alphabetically. The information that follows is the botanical name if it comes from a plant, or Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) and/or Food Serial Number if it comes from a mineral, country of origin, and then which MamaSuds products you will find with that particular ingredient.
